Recycle your old Christmas lights. Pick a charity. The heaviest box wins.
This holiday season, Computer Recycling Center is turning tangled, broken, and burnt-out holiday lights into donations for three local charities. Bring your old lights to our Springfield lobby, drop them in the box for the charity you want to support, and help your favorite cause come out on top. Every charity receives a donation, but the heaviest box earns the biggest one.

How the Twinkle Throwdown Works
- Bring your old lights. Tangled, broken, or burnt-out holiday light strands all count. Dig them out of the attic, the garage, or that box you keep meaning to deal with.
- Pick your charity's box. Three boxes are set up in our lobby, each marked with a charity's logo. Drop your lights in the box for the cause you want to back.
- We weigh and donate. When the event ends, we weigh every box and donate to each charity based on where its box ranks.
Choose Your Box
Your lights, your vote. Each box supports a local organization making a difference in the Ozarks.

Every Charity Wins Something
Computer Recycling Center will donate $1,750 in total, split by the final weight of each box. The more lights in a box, the bigger that charity's donation.
| Final ranking | Donation |
|---|---|
| Heaviest box | $1,000 |
| 2nd heaviest | $500 |
| Lightest box | $250 |
